Strawberry Sauce Recipe


1     pound fresh strawberries, hulled and cut into small pieces
2     tablespoons water
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup strawberry preserve


1. In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, water and sugar over medium heat. Bring it to simmer. Immediately remove from heat.

2. Pour strawberry mixture into food processor. Pulse until smooth. Stain through fine mesh sieve over a small bowl. Return strawberry purée back to the food processor. Add strawberry preserve. Pulse until smooth. Transfer to a jar, cool to room temperature and chill in refrigerator.
